There is huge growth within the LED fluorescent lighting. More and more companies are considering replacing their old fluorescent tubes with Led. Because the LED lamps are undergoing major technical improvements, it is becoming increasingly interesting to replace fluorescent tubes with LED lighting. Why switch to Led?

It may seem like a big step to switch to Led. This is also certain, the purchase price is higher than normal TL and moreover, the TL tubes must be replaced. The latter is especially a challenge for industrial buildings with high ceilings. In addition, Led is relatively new, many companies do not yet use Led lighting and are therefore skeptical about the quality.

Payback time TL LED lighting

Switching to LED fluorescent lamps can be seen as an investment that will pay for itself later. This is because LED lamps use less energy than conventional fluorescent tubes. Take the 150 cm version, for example, this length is used most often in larger industrial buildings. Below you can see in an example how long it takes for the LED fluorescent lamps to pay for themselves.

In the example above you already save € 18.63 per year per 150 cm tube! If you use the fluorescent lighting for longer than 8 hours a day, the saving will only increase. Moreover, the consumption of the ballast (vsa) is not included in this. The vsa also consumes around 8 Watt when the old fluorescent tube is used, but as soon as the new Led fluorescent lamp is installed, the vsa consumes (almost) no more energy.

The purchase price of a  Led TL tube of 150 cm  is € 12.99 (including VAT). Because of the saving of € 18.63 per year, you have already earned back the Led TL tube within one year.

In this example, you save € 10.59 per year per tube if you replace your fluorescent tubes with LED lighting. This means that even in the case of the lower energy price, the LED lamp pays for itself within a year!

You should see the switch to LED tubes as an investment that is guaranteed to pay for itself. In the beginning, the purchase price seems high, but in the end, it is a project on which you earn!

Replace fluorescent tubes with LED

Are you planning to switch to Led as soon as a number of fluorescent tubes are broken? We recommend that you replace everything with LED fluorescent lighting in one go. If you wait for the breakdown of your fluorescent tubes, time is lost for saving energy and, moreover, replacing is a lot easier if you replace everything at once.

Replacing conventional fluorescent lighting is not difficult. The LED bars have exactly the same size as the old fluorescent tubes. That is why nowadays it is only a question of removing the old TL beams and starters and the new Led TL tubes can be screwed into the fixtures and you are done! No new starters need to be placed either, because the LED bars work without a starter. Usually, there is no need to make any adjustments to the fluorescent fixture so that the job is done very quickly. Only in the case of electronic vsa (luminaires without starters) will a small adjustment in the fixture be required to make the LED fluorescent tubes work properly. The LED tubes are available in both warm white (830), neutral white (840) and cold white (865, daylight). This means that your fluorescent lamps can be replaced by LED tubes with the exact same color. The color fastness of the Led tubes from Led Wereld is also high (CRI> 80), which means that all colors are also displayed in a realistic way.

TL fixtures replaced by Led

Fluorescent fixtures are often used in suspended ceilings. The TL fixtures can be replaced by LED panels. These LED panels have many advantages, such as the large savings of at least 60% and the sleek design of the LED panels. The LED panels fit precisely in the system ceiling. The fluorescent fixtures of 4 fluorescent tubes of 60 cm are replaced by the Led panel 60 × 60 and fluorescent fixtures with 2 fluorescent tubes of 120 cm are replaced by the Led panel 30 × 120. The LED panels are also available in the colors warm white, neutral white and cold white.

The lamps also do not flicker, which is sometimes the case with old fluorescent luminaires. A Led TL fixture will distribute a more pleasant light in which it is nicer to work. It will therefore not only be saving but also an improvement in the quality of light.

Halogen spots replaced by Led
